The Ecotic Foundation is a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) dedicated to the recycling of waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and as a non-profit organisation we work to protect the environment and ensure sustainable development.
Since our establishment in 2005, our main activity has been to develop and manage the WEEE collection, treatment and control systems of our member companies, ensuring that they fulfil all legal responsibilities and obligations.
Likewise, we promote awareness and training activities for manufacturers, distributors and users of electrical and electronic equipment to educate professional collectives and raise public awareness about the importance of adequate WEEE recycling for the transition to a new circular economy model.
Values shared by the whole team of Ecotic professionals form the basis of the work that we do and give it meaning.
We continue to strive to improve, creating an efficient management model for our members that responds to all needs.
Our entire team is committed to directing our efforts and technical capacity to promote environmental sustainability and the service culture.
We are working to maximize environmental guarantees within a reasonable budget so that it is viable over time.
We allocate all our resources to recycling and provide clear information about our activities to ensure the continued trust of our member companies and collaborators.
We strive in order to maximise our capacity to anticipate and respond to the new challenges posed by a technological sector in constant transformation.
We have authorization to handle all WEEE categories at the national level, permitting us to contribute to promoting the circular economy across the entire country.
For us it is fundamental in the development of our activities to enjoy the support of some of the principal companies in the consumer electronics sector as members of our Board and with whom we share values and objectives in the defence of the environment.
The Ecotic Board is responsible for the approval of management plans and programmes, the establishment of criteria for new sectors of activity, the definition of the general lines of distribution and the application of funds available for the development of our activities.
